Description

Rugged Trail Runners having tactical features starting with Altama's legendary Panama Sole technology. Using sticky SOFROC™ rubber that wraps up in the arch to aid in fast roping, we've turned a typical trail runner into a tactical machine!

Specifications:

  • Our midsole cushioning is compiled of multiple layers to protect the tactical warrior.
  • We start with a dual density EVA midsole; slightly softer in the heel for added cushion and rebound.
  • We embed a full length Rock ‘n Roll Plate™ on the bottom side to prevent bruising from rocks and roots. The strobel insole board is lined with an additional layer of EVA for that extra cushioning.
  • The upper has many features not found in most trail runners today.
  • The molded rubber toe assists and protects the foot when having to kick in a door.
  • The injection molded TPU heel clip adds support and provides superior stability.
  • We’ve constructed the upper for maximum breathability.
  • Using the best microfiber PU as well as breathable nylon mesh, we laminate the materials in such a way to promote superior air flow, thus a healthier foot environment.
  • The nylon loop lacing system helps for quick adjustment.
  • On the heel you will find a nylon pull loop to assist when pulling on your shoe.
  • Our insole is an Alta-lite™ dual density blown PU insole for exceptional cushioning and support.

    Altama water proof boots

    Definitely one of my favorite pairs of boots.

    Nice Boots

    I used to wear 11.5Regular in the cheap Walmart shoes and these in 11.5R fit fine in the toes but felt a bit narrow and tight in the sides. The 11.5Wide felt the best for me. The 11Regular felt tight all around but I can get used to them with thin black dress shoe socks in which I could break them in over time until they stretch out to fit my feet better. These hiking boots seem like they could last for years. I Bought 5 pairs total which should get me a decade or more of use before I need to buy new boots again. The Walmart shoes I used to wear would only last 3 months and they cost just about the same price as these Altama's while on sale. Great bargain. They are comfortable overall with good support for the ankles. Good traction soles. They aren't noisy or squeaky like some shoes are. Get them while you can. I like it when Botach has boots on sale. The on sale boots I bought before from Botach were all military types (15 pairs of various styles), but these are the first I've bought from them where I can wear them in civilian attire in the city or out in the woods if necessary. Excellent Boots!

    GREAT BOOTS!

    I like these so much, I bought a second pair. They're great for hiking and pretty much anything you'd need boots for. I replaced the insoles with Dr. Scholl’s Extra Support Insoles, and that made them even better.

    Great

    So good I bought a 2nd pair. Super light weight and the sole doesn't pack as much mud into it as some of the other boots I have. Very comfortable to wear.

    I bought these after reading the 5 star reviews. I see why they got those reviews. Boots are well made and deserve that high rating. For the sale price they're a real steal!

    HD & comfortable.

    waited a couple of months to submit this review. these boots are very comfortable after breaking in & seem to be very durable. they're not as light weight as the hi top addidas basketball shoes that they replaced for work, but that's to be expected. they should last longer than the 8 mos of daily us I put the addidas through.

    I really like these boots. No leather toe so no shining is required. Fit and feel is great.
