    Maintains zero

I used this to mount a Romeo5 red dot on the Magpul barrel mount for my 10/22 TD. It's not exactly a high power rifle, but it maintained zero perfectly. I did 10 rounds of taking 5 shots, dismount/remount the optic, then another 5 shots, etc. and it never lost zero.

    Accept no substitute

If you have a T1 compatible optic, and you want a way to get it off your weapon in a hurry? Accept no substitute. I have them on all my optics.

    Low Mount

Gave it a 4/5 because the first time I went shooting the QD mount came loose. However , the mount is made of quality material and fits well to my PSA AK47 GF3 with an ultimak gas tube. After some adjustment, it fits tight and holds zero for my Sig Romeo 5 very well. I will change to 5/5 if it holds up after a thousand rounds or so of shooting

    KZ quick Release

I needed a low mount for Sig Sauer Romeo 5. The Romeo 5 I got only came with the high mount. The Sig Sauer low mount cost $69 Bones but this was way cheaper and way better and it comes with a quick release. You otta be stupid if you buy the stock one. Anyways, great product. It holds zero!

Save 50$ over a locking model? Yes please!

Purchased for a Vortex SPARC II, mounted on a Parabellum Armament rail on an Arsenal SLR-106F. A QD Mount proved to be a necessity on my rifle configuration, as the iron sights sit well below the bottom of the optic and cowitness is impossible. I had almost caved and purchased an ARMS Mount when I stumbled on to this, and my wallet agreed with me, at almost 50$ less than the expensive stuff. The KZ Mount is machined a bit longer than where it interfaces with the SPARC II, so the mount overhangs about 1mm both front and rear, but being designed for the Aimpoint Micro, it's probably because of the difference betwen optics, not sloppiness in manufacture. At any rate, it's hardly a snag point any more than the optic itself would be. Finish is great, no major tooling marks. All of the holes lined up, and it accepted my SPARC II with no fuss at all. Originally mounted it on the wrong wide, undid the mounting screws and flipped it around easily enough, but the lever was facing forward. My preference was for it to face back, so I loosened the crossbolt until I could pull it out under spring tension and spin it around to face the way I wanted, and tightened it back down using just my fingers. The throw lever is kept in line by two rails machined into the mount, a very nice touch. The throw lever works perfectly, completely engages the rail as tightly as I want, and allows me to rock the optic off of the rail from Left to Right when loose, just as it should. The angle and shape of the throw lever makes it a bit difficult to get ahold of with your fingers, although I view this as a positive because it will prevent it from snagging and popping off at the wrong time. Since it does not lock like the ARMS mounts do, I safety wired it to my rifle to further secure the optic, but I feel as long as I am paying attention to what I am doing, there isn't any chance of it catching something and falling off. I did remove it and reattach several times while on the range after zeroing, and it appeared to hold my battlesight zero at 25 yards within 1/2". I found the best consistency when using the same T-slot and engaging the crossbolt to the rear face of the slot in the rail, then closing the throw lever. For 30$, I'm glad I shopped around. I wouldn't take this to Afghanistan to go fight wars, but only because a locking ruggedized mount just wins out in that situation (One is None, Two are One and all that), but for my purposes here, home defense, varminting, killing paper targets DED, tactical courses, camp gun in the woods, I see no issues arising from the lack of a locking system. Again, a little dummy cord goes a long way toward retaining your valuable optic, but this is all value added in my eyes. 10/10 will buy again if needed.

Good so far (untested at range) - works with Spitfire AR 1x

This is an initial review, because I haven't gotten a chance to use this at the range yet, however I know enough about quick release mounts to assume that based on what I have observed so far that it will perform well in real use. This is a solid little quick release base using the industry standard micro pattern. I am using this as a quick release base for the newer Vortex Spitfire AR 1x prism optic. You can use the same screws that come with the factory base of the Spitfire with this mount. The lever release mechanism isn't as fancy as those designed by ADM, Larue, Geissele, etc, but I don't see any issues that would prevent it from working just as well. The only drawback I have observed is that you need to loosen the adjustment nut on the opposite side of the release lever in order to take the optic on and off a rail. This can be done with just your fingers so it's not a deal killer for me. I purchased this at $19.95 shipped, which is significantly cheaper than any alternatives I found save for some mystery meat stuff on Amazon. This is made in the U.S. (apparently) and the finish is decent quality. I would buy another.
